My 2022 Goals & Plans

LAST UPDATED: 12/21/2022

I think as Human Beings, it's incredibly important for us to set Goals for ourselves.

I've always set goals, from time to time throughout life, all be it lofty ones, not to the extent that I'd consider goal setting to be a routine strategy of mine until recently.

Having goals, is powerful, it seems to light a fire for me and I'm sure for most of you as well. It gives you that Road Map if you will keep building to something - better.

To borrow an analogy, I once came across - Having Goals both short term and long-term sort of gives you the Tasks or Achievements that you need to Level Up in this game of life. You gain Experience, and then Levels, any gamer will know what I mean.

Here are my 2022 Goals in no particular order, in various categories because I am working on alot of things over the last 10 years or so, and I'm continuing to build on previously achieved goals to improve even further.

Throughout the year, if I stick to my Blogging and Website Project Goals, I'll be discussing some of these in my content to delve deeper into detail.

Tips to set your own Goals:

  1. When I set goals, I start out thinking of the BIGGER more Long-Term things that I want to Achieve.

  2. Then - I start to work backwards from there, break down smaller sub tasks, or sub goals that will help me achieve the bigger goals.

  3. I will also generally put timetables on those sub goals to make sure I am accomplishing those smaller sub tasks/Goals so that I'm close to achieving that bigger picture, or that Dream.

  4. It's all about Consistency, creating good habits, making progress on the smaller sub tasks, one day at a time.

  5. It's not creating such plans, or goals that will require you to totally overhaul your lifestyle. That's when you overwhelm yourself, take on too much, and want to try to accomplish everything - NOW. Those are the types of plans, or goals that you quit, you fall short on, because the workload, the work ethic it takes to keep up with the demand you've put on yourself becomes unsustainable.

  6. Set reasonable expectations, account for your other responsibilities and duties, be Consistent, but also be patient with yourself.

Small Progress Leads to Big Gains.

These are MY Goals - and I fully expect there are a few Goals that I will work on that aren't on this list. I can already think of one goal that I have that will remain "hidden" for now.

It's ok to share your Plans, sharing can help some of us to hold ourselves accountable. However, it's also true and ok to keep some plans to yourself.

It's important to have goals, so we can measure our successes and progress to achieving things we want to achieve. For those times we start doubting ourselves, getting down, we have something to look back to and see how much Progress we've made. Sometimes that can help to keep us pushing and keep us motivated.

Goals serve a purpose to help make progress on smaller things so that we can eventually reach the bigger achievements we are looking for.

I encourage everyone to set goals, it doesn't matter if they look like this, or there aren't as many. Just set goals and hold yourself accountable!!!

Good Luck to you all!!!
